Comments: This warner Blu-ray has an aspect ratio of 2.40:1. Let me first start off by saying this is one of Warner's best Blu-ray's to date. From the opening scene you can tell you are in for a real treat. The colors are beautiful. The black level is well balanced. Grain was only present where and when it needed to be. Fleshtones were perfect throughout the entire movie. Even the sand and sky look so well you really feel like you are looking out a window. The Dolby TrueHD soundtrack is equally as impressive. My favorite scene is in the beginning when Achilles fights the "HUGE" guy. This is definitely a great demo scene. You hear (and feel) the first spear he chucks land with blunt force on Achilles shield. Then the second one lands behind you in the Rear Left speaker perfectly. It almost makes you jump! Then when Achilles stabs him the subwoofer goes into overtime. And finally when he yells, "is there no one else?" that is in the center channel with perfect tonality. That scene sums up the entire Director"s Cut which in my opinion is a little better than their first release. If you do not own this one then I suggest you add it to your library. Not only is it great eye candy but your ears will enjoy it to...
