Comments: This Blu ray title has an aspect ratio of 1.85:1 which fills up the entire 16:9 HDTV screen. I felt it looked great for an older movie that was filmed in 1986. The first thing I noticed when watching this film was how detailed the crazy 80's hairstyles of Gina Davis and Jeff Goldblum were. You can clearly see the detail in their hair and faces. There are some close up scenes of them talking which have an excellent 3D pop to it which is amazing for a film of this age to have. The film is very clean and I found no dirt on the film print or anything other than the normal film grain which is present throughout. Other than that this title is definitely up there with the best of the bunch of older catalog titles. The DTS-HD MASTER soundtrack is very impressive as well and will add to the creepy effects this film has. The scene where Jeff crashes through the window of the hospital will make you jump for sure. There are tons of special features and documentaries which are very good in my opinion, however they are not in HD. This film is not for the weak at heart since it is deliberately gruesome. I highly recommend this film if you feel your stomach can handle it as this is one of the greatest tragedy love stories ever to grace the silver screen.
