Comments: A very nice overall release. It is encoded in AVC and hovers in the high 20's to low 30's Mbps range. This film is completely free of grain and as sharp as a razor. I will be the first to admit that I do not have a lot of experience with anime, but my eyes tell me this is the best I have ever seen anime look! I really feel this transfer excelled in terms of color accuracy and sharpness. Every scene was vibrant and breathtaking. I also noticed absolutely no macroblocking. AQ is another area where this film does well, but not great. I heard very good use of the surrounds and the occasional use of LFE. Dialog was also solid, making good use of the center channel. I listened using the PCM 5.1 option. I can confidently recommend this purchase if you are a fan of this film.
