Comments: Disney did a fantastic job with this transfer. This film is encoded in AVC on to an BD50 disc. The colors are sharp and vivid and really "pop" off the screen. The film grain is nonexistent and I saw absolutely no trace of noise or macroblocking. Many of this film’s brighter scenes, especially during the daytime look STUNNING. The colors are simply breathtaking. Animation at this level is VERY impressive. Because of this release I look with great anticipation to see both “Cars” and “Ratatouille.”
In-terms of AQ I would say this too was a stunning presentation of PCM 5.1. The Surrounds were used often as was the LFE and Left and Right channels. The Center channel is where this release excels. Dialog can be heard loud and clear and most importantly creates the feeling of having the characters of this film in the room with you.
This release also comes with several Special Features, of which most are in 1080p HD. There are some Featurettes and Commentaries, all of which I enjoyed.
This release is reference material to show off your new HD Television or even your Home Theater. Every aspect of this release is impressive and it raises the bar for future HD Animation releases to follow in the future.
