Comments: These Blu ray titles are in a 1.78:1 aspect ratio. Both Volumes are done with brilliant color and deep blacks. They do have a little grain but that actually fits well with the stories. Shadow detail was also done well. The only major complaint is some scenes (pretty much on all the episodes) did suffer excessive edge enhancement. Those scenes are not to often so I still gave it a solid score in terms of picture quality. The audio has a nice PCM 5.1 soundtrack. It does not go above and beyond as far as great audio goes but never the less it still gets the job done. Dialogue is adequate in the center while the surrounds seem to take a leave of absense at times during the shows. Overall if you are a fan of this series then you will really enjoy the upgade in picture quality that Blu ray gives them. If you never seen them then they are at least worth a rent but be prepared because they are spooky!
