Comments: This Blu ray title is presented in a 1.78:1 aspect ratio. Considering it was made in 1990 it gets good points for holding its own against some of the newer releases today. Fleshtones are very accurate and shadow detail is also rendered well. The colors are held back some but that fits perfectly with the mood of the story. I was really impressed with close ups and the amount of detail that could be seen. The only minor complaints are a few scenes do suffer from a little excessive noise and some are a little washed out. It is easy to look the other way since this title was done almost 18 years ago. The DTS HD soundtrack is excellent. Dialogue has perfect tonality. The subwoofer is called on and off perfectly throughout the movie. Gunshots will sound like they are coming from your room! I am getting more and more impressed with the older titles and the newer soundtracks they are being presented in. Overall I really liked this title. Not just for the good picture and sound but also for the good story... Pick this one up!
