Comments: This HD DVD title is presented in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio. This is one of the best HD DVDs I have seen to date. Easily in a top 5 list! The colors are brilliant and fit perfectly into the time period. Flesh tones are exact as well. Contrast was also rendered well which help create a natural-looking image. The black level is also solid. This title really excels with the details which show off the great image depth. The soundtrack comes with Dolby TrueHD. I was impressed with the dialogues tonality. All of the speakers are incorporated nicely throughout the movie. Overall this HD DVD is a pleasure to watch. Not only do you get a great history lesson you get plenty of vivid colors which are pure eye candy. And if Elizabeth's final scene does not make the hair stand up on your neck you need to check yourself for a pulse!
