Comments: A very nice improvement over the DVD release of this film. It is encoded in MPEG-2 and hovers in the high 20's to low 30's Mbps range. This film is nearly grain-free. I did detect the occasional blip of film debris. I really feel this transfer excelled in terms of color accuracy and sharpness. Many outdoor scenes were vibrant and breathtaking. I also noticed absolutely no macroblocking. AQ is another area where this film does well, but not great. I heard very good use of the surrounds and the occasional use of LFE. Dialog was also solid, making good use of the center channel. I listened using the PCM 5.1 option. I can confidently recommend this purchase if you are a fan of this film.
