Comments: Although this is an improvement over the DVD version of this film, it really is not the best we have seen in HDM. I watched using the AVC option. At many times the bitrate jumps in to the mid 30 Mbps range which helps eliminate any macroblocking, however this bitrate cannot save this soft and dull picture quality. From what I understand the majority of this movie was filmed using the Canon XL-1 video camera. This very well may explain the less then stunning PQ. I listened using the DTS-HD MA sound option and was pleasantly surprised. The sound made good use of the Surrounds and occasional use of the LFE. Dialog was also nicely presented in the Center Channel. In conclusion I can confirm the overall presentation of this Blu-ray release is better then its DVD counterpart, but can only recommend a purchase if you are a fan of this film.
